EXPIRATION OF ANDEAN TRADE PREFERENCE ACT (ATPA)EFFECTIVE DEC. 5, 2001The ATPA expired on midnight of Dec. 4, 2001. Legislation to extend the program is pending.All merchandise entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption will not be eligible for preferrential treatment. Duties must be deposited for all merchandise after the date of expiration. Use of the special program indicator "J" will result in rejections.
