U.S. Customs House at Bowling Green
Effective 3/31/03
The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (formerly U.S.Customs Service) has announce the re-opening of the original New York Customs House at Bowling Green. This historic landmark in Downtown Manhattan, which once served as a home to Cambell & Gardiner, has been chosen so that U.S. Customs will once again have a presence in Downtown Manhattan following the destruction of the office at 6 World Trade Center on 9/11/01.
This office is being re-opened and will act as a drop off point, where brokers and importers can submit entries. These entries will then be forwarded to a full service Customs office within the district for processing.
