C-TPAT IMPORTER UPDATE

Customs has notified the trade, that importers who do not file their ocean import entries atleast 24 hours in advance of arrival are not recieving full C-TPAT benefits, especially reduced examinations.

Importers are strongly urged to file their entries atleast 24 hours prior to arrival so that customs has time to screen the documents. They do not know who the cargo belongs to until the entry is filed.

Cambell & Gardiner Inc. will continue to file entries at the earliest date allowed by customs regulations.
