Cambell & Gardiner Inc. is licensed customs broker in the Port of New York. We also posess a national brokers permit, and participate in the remote location filing prototype. This enables us to arrange for customs clearance in all U.S. ports of entry.

Customs Entry Service

Our staff of entry writers, is experienced in dealing with most commodities, and the special requirements for each one. We prepare all types of entries and all other government agency(OGA) forms as they are required. In addition we can clear shipments arriving at most any port throghout the United States.

Classification

We will assist you in determining the proper classification and duty rate for your merchandise using the Harmonized Tarriff Schedule, Researching previous Customs Rulings, etc. Should you have special circumstances, we will assist you in obtaining a binding ruling from Customs Headquarters.

Valuation

Using the rules set forth in the US Customs Regulations and the Customs Valuation Encyclopedia, we will help you to determine the appropriate entered value for your merchandise. Many aspects of your transaction may or may not be dutiable, and can result in additional duties, fines and or penalties if not reported correctly.

Automated Services

Our ABI (Automated Broker Interface) software gives us the ability to participate in all of the automated services available from U.S. Customs. In addition, we are able to recieve customs clearance (on most shipments) seven days a week, 365 days a year. Cambell & Gardiner has been a proud user of the ABI system since 1991.

Customs has recently made available the ACE (Automated Commercial Environement) system, which is going to recplace the ACS systeom currently in place.
