10 + 2 Importer Security Filing (ISF) Bonds

Effective 1/26/2009

Under the new ISF regulations, the importer must have a bond on file with CBP. CBP has amended the current form CF 301 to contain the necessary language making it sufficient for ISF purposes.

ISF filers (broker, forwarder, etc) also must have a continuous bond on file with CBP.

At this time, importers who use a single entry bond with their entries will need to make other arrangements to insure the ISF bond requirement is being met.

CBP is expected to create a new ISF bond that is for this purpose only.
